What we aimed to do was simple in concept, but complex in operation. We want to be a high tech trade school for future Teslas and Tony Starks; wherein anybody could learn to create or do whatever they wanted, and then make a living doing what they loved. Some of us are hackers, some are artists, and some are scientists but we are all the movers and shakers of our generation. Won't you join us? Here's a look at what we do here at the IQ Co-Op.
Laboratorium
Laboritoriums go by many names. They are fab labs, hackerspaces, makerspaces, laboratories, tinker spaces. They are all of these things. But they are also none of those things. It is a place to create any and everything. If you are interested in chemistry and are only 12 years old, then we welcome you to work with one of our older mentors until you get the hang of it.
Metalworking, energy production, foodie work, jewelry creation, lab work, clothing creation, fandom, LAN parties, making Club Mate.... Whatever you want to create, we have the tools to do it.
Coworking Space
And at some point, it is likely that our small gatherings will bring about some awesome ideas, and then those individuals will want to start to pursue them further. Or perhaps you already have your idea and just need a place to get some of the boring work-related paperwork done and want to tinker with your product some in the meantime. We offer coworking space to enable micro businesses to thrive through shared skills, space, and knowledge.
Skill Shares
Thinking is important to us here. In our aims to misbehave, we have found that every single person has at least one cool and unique skill that they can teach the others. This is the educational base for everything that we do. This is how we make sure nobody burns themselves or blows themselves up with a chemistry lab. This is also the basic idea why we have mentors and mentee relationships with members. If there is anything you want to learn, we will find a teacher to show you.
The Network
Originally called the Switchboard, our network is what helps make us so versatile and unique. With the NSA proving we are 6.4' of separation from everybody in the world, I suppose our particularly awesome network just helps in reducing the number of introductions you have to go through to get a project going. However, that also means that we are able to pair individuals with businesses and vice versa to be able to find a perfect fit for all of your contracting needs. Past this, we are also allowing for enhanced collaboration between every single lab and other makerspaces around the globe. It's a mesh network. It's pretty awesome.

We also offer comprehensive consulting, advising and evaluation of STEM programs for schools, extracurriculars, and organizations.
